What's my problem...

We had an amazing Independence Day that was filled with swimming, BBQing with new friends, and a fantastic fireworks display. This picture melts my heart ever time I see it. I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband and three great kids that I love so much!

Weekend Fun...

The kids had a blast this weekend making forts and camping in them.

Love You to Pieces...

Can't believe my baby girl is going to be 5 soon. I love how when we play uno and you lay down a wild you "have" to do ini mini miny moe to decide what color you want it to be. I also love it when you are having a hard time falling asleep at night and you come down stairs and say, "Mom I can't fall asleep because I just can't stop talking to myself." Brings a smile to my face everytime!

Mother's Day Treasures...

Michael drew and painted the flower picture for me and made the paper flower bouquet. I have plans to frame the picture and hang it in the kids' craft area.


This beautiful frame was made by Kyle. I can imagine the cute little faces he was making while he drew the picture and I'm sure he did about a hundred "happy dances" through out the whole process :)


My sweet Alicia gave me her stuffed horse and bear. She has such a giving heart.


I got these dishes from my in-laws for my birthday a month ago. They are hand made from a shop a few of hours away from where they are stationed in Italy and for Mother's Day Owen put in a order to get me the rest. I can't wait for them to be hand delivered to me the end of this summer when my in-laws return back to the states!

Laziness...

I've been meaning to blog about this for 2 week now but have been lazy. A couple of Fridays ago I was having a lazy day and didn't feel like doing much of anything so when it came time to cook dinner I asked Kyle, half joking, if he would cook dinner. He thought for a minute and then headed to the kitchen. A few minutes later he came to me with a loaf of bread and a box of honey combs. He said with the biggest grin on his face, "I have a great idea, we can pour the honey combs on the bread and eat it like a hot dog." I thought it was a really cute idea and it was actually pretty good :) I think I'm going to let the kids take a turn making dinner once a month!

It's Beginning to Look Like Spring Time...

Over the weekend I started working in my flower garden. I planted some African daisies, aren't they beautiful?! And yes that is pine straw...people down here in the south put that in their flower beds instead of mulch...


And by the way...we have the prettiest driveway in the neighborhood :)
